"I have not met Dr Helling yet. He's been doing these surgeries for at least 5 years, though. He's obviously not a novice. 3-25-03: I went to the initial consult and was there from 9:30a to 5:30p which seems like a really long day, but it went by sooo quick! Most of it was done in a group setting, with the exception of the time we were seen in the clinic. That time included a support group meeting (it's mandatory to attend at least 2 before surgery). It was excellent! Dr Helling saw me briefly (they seemed to be extra busy that day) and reiterated what the surgery was to be. We're waiting for our surgery dates. It was a very informative day. "
