Head hunger

i have had a string of days without mindless eating of carbs in the evening, but tonight I have been fighting with myself over it. Took myself to the couch, away from the food, with my Crystal Light and am posting as a reminder that (for me)the kitchen is closed after dinner except for low cal beverages or protein drinks.

have a great night!

Good for you!!!  Those single successes turn into weeks and then into habits.  I loved an article I read once that talked about will power as a muscle that we had to exercise to make it strong.

It would have been nice if this surgery changed our brains but sadly, it only changed our tummies.

I had to change our night time routine.  I worked midnights for 30 years and want to stay up all night.  My husband drives a school bus so he has to get up early.  We would watch TV from 7-9pm, then I would stay up till 1-3 or 5am.  This is when I would graze.  So after surgery, and after I ate a piece of toast on day 4, I made a major change in my life.  I told my husband I would watch 1 TV show around 5pm.  I now go to sleep around 9-10or 12am.  I get up around 6:00. I don't feel light eating so early in the morning.  My pouch doesn't like food too early, so I can only drink warm tea/de-caf coffee and then an hour later a protein drink.  Way better than eating popsicles, and sf jello at night.  I needed to change my routine.  We now go for a walk or bicycle at night after 1 show.  We bought lights for the bikes.

I like that change Lynn!  too go to bed with the chickens ( not so great when you're trying to date youngsters lol ) and get up before dawn. I love going out for a sunrise run or rollerblade ... but nighttime snacking  like in your case makes me stay up . I hate waking up with the tv still on GRRR
