CBC number question MPV, Prealbumin & iron

I'm thinking since it's been over 4 years since my RNY surgery I should be in the graduates section of this site.

Anyway got my numbers, actually for the first time in hand since my surgery and my CBC results but I'm a little confused especially after searching on line!

My MPV is 7.8 and considered low.

My Prealbumin is 45.8 and considered high.

My folate is 25 and considered high.

My iron is 50 and they put me on extra iron to see if that would change but I had that tested two weeks ago and don't have those results back yet.

Any help with this would be appreciated.  Thanks, Nancy.

The pre-alb range can wander a bit. Unless it suddenly changes, wait for another test to see where you really are.

Is the rest of your CBC nicely organized? One MPV out of whack isn't a pattern. Yet.

Folate. It's critically important in cell-making. So, if it and your B12 are in step, again, the lab range can change.

Which iron? What is the total mg? And taken with C, an hour apart from all else.

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.
