Surgery Day - Before                                  20 year High School Reunion - After

So lets see if this works.  One year ago today I went in for surgery at 226 at 5'3 and I am now at 158.  My goal was 150 but I have stumbled off and on along the way.  I am grateful for the falls because unlike before in my life I have learned to dust myself off and get right back up! Thanks to the board members for advice and support be it questions or just reading posts to keep myself in check.  My brother passed away from Brain Cancer 2 months before my surgery and I had been preparing for more then a year for the surgery.  I had to cancel once due to finances and then again because my surgery was planned just days of his passing.  I had to give my mom some 'time' before worrying her about another child in a hospital.  Finally after  2 months of grieving,  it was happening!! My biggest accomplishment is that like I said before, when I fall off the wagon, I get right back on.  My brain has adjusted and there are days I bad mouth myself, eat a cheeto out of my kids lunch leftovers, and hide the scale.  BUT, I see myself pose for pictures without thinking about it, I smile more, and people call me skinny (Shock to still hear that).  My kids have their mom back mentally and physically.  I can eat more then I could but try not too.  Diet coke still is my battle everyday. I have a saggy butt/boobs that my husband of nearly 14 years still gropes ;0)~

Good luck to those out there just starting and veterans!  Love to everyone.

(hope the pictures show up)

Congratulations on the success. You really do look amazing. Isn't it strange to look back and be like, "who is that person?" Keep up the good work. Best wishes.
