I was sleeved Tuesday, and I got back home yeserday.

The procedure went well - except when they started to wake me up. I was gasping for air becasue i was intubated and then i swear my stomache was on fire! I was in and out of it for a few hours but as soon as they gave me pain killers it was OK.  I kept waking up a few times out of my sleep gasping for air, and they had me on oxygen, but it went away the next day.

Stomache was def cramping and I was bloated frmo the gas, but it was tolerable. I just did a lot of sleeping and walking, and when i showered for the first time yesterday i was in heaven!

Yesterday I started my shakes, and af first it took me aout 35 minutes to finish, an hour with the broth and jell-o, but today is completelty different! It took an hour to finish the shake and I didn't have the broth until 1.5 hours later. It's just wiered because I don't feel hungry, but I know that I need to eat/ get my fluids in. So i feel like a rat - as soon as the alarm sounds, I have to eat lol.

Sleep is OK, but hurts when i try to roll over, but I can sleep for a solid 5 hours or so.
I'm blessed that I didn't have much nausea - only one bout that lasted 30 seconds - and walking if helping a lot. Still gassy but it's better with the walk. I still cramp when i eat, but I just hope it subsudes as time goes on.

Ok, that's all for now!

Hey Lorraine,
The first month is definitely the toughest but the great news is it can only get better from here. Sounds like you are doing great. Keep us posted on your progress!

Thanks Jenn! All the nurses my doc and the aids said I looked like someone who didn't have surgery, but the pain is a real thing. I know I'm healing but all this gas is ridic! I kinda want someone to just poke me with a pin to get rid of it lol!   I praying that this let up, just hopefully sooner rather than later ;-)

I couldn't rush if I wanted to! I still can't tell when I'm hungry or full, just the "desire" to eat isn't there! And the pops are my new favorite things to eat! Keep up the great work and I'll soon be on the losers bench with ya!
