Figure Skating today!!!

I am hoping to hit the 130's this week.

One of my favorite aerobic exercises is figure skating!  I can burn 862 calories in 2 hours if there arent a lot of people there. When it is wide open ice I just love to fly and here my own "home-made" wind in my years. Since this is VA, and we are buried under a ton of snow, I am hoping/praying the kids are all staying indoors with mom and dad and NOT being at open skate.

I down loaded some new tunes to my mp3 player so I really am hoping to enjoy the day!

Yay!

Yay for you!! You got this!! I also love to ice skate. Actually went skating with my 3 year old grand daughter yesterday. We're over in Sun Valley, ID. Wish you could send us some of your snow. Since losing my weight, I have taken up both ice skating and skiing. Love the both. Have a terrific day!!

I hear the Washington Capitals need a new defense man...You go girl!!  Just kidding.  When we lose the weight we are like a kid in a candy story with a wad of $20.  We don't know what to take on first.  I'm 8+ years out...This week; lawn mowing, bicycle riding, walking, ballroom dancing (with my wife)...

Ball room dancing is soooo much fun!

And i totally get the kid in a candy store reference.  I find myself wanting to do half marathon's, ice touring of denmark, and figure skating all at the same time!!!

However there is STILL plenty of time for us. Today at the rink I watched the most elegant 72 year old woman take her bronze ice dancing test!  THAT is how I want to age!!!

Who hoo!  Enjoy!

I haven't skated in over 20 years.  I haven't skied in 12 years.  I have stood in the doorway of Zumba and other classes, and looked through the window at the spinning classes.  I am so tired of being a bystander! I know this is hard freaking work you have done to be successful, but I am ready.

Thanks for posting! This is so inspirational!

Thanks Christine!

And why dont you come into those zumba classes?  They NEED you!  They really do!  Remember everyone of those "regular" zumba gals and guys was the "new person" once!

Thanks for the encouragement, Skinny.  I am super confident in other areas of my life but going into Zumba and similar classes now, at this weight, is just so intimidating! I hate to admit that! My weight makes my knee problems much worse and I'm not sure I can make it through the class. So, I exercise at home instead, and I'm building up my endurance and fitness. I will do it. I am not going to sit and watch life pass me by!

Thanks for the inspiring and informative posts!
