I'm feeling so blessed.  I cant believe how great I'm doing.  I love whatever pain meds they are giving as I'm not loopy.  The nurses let me sleep last night.  AndI'im able to get up and walk without assistance

The staff here at St Francis hospital in Federal Way, WA are truly amazing.

This experience has been more than I expected.

Yope everyine us doing well.

Awesome!  I had the same experience.  All that pre-surgery angst and it was quite easy and quick for me to recover.  I was discharged on day 2.  I hope your recovery continues to be easy and painless.  Congratulations!!!!!

Congratulations! Glad to hear that you did so well and that you are up walking. You need to do that at least every hour at hospital and at home. Remember a pillow for the ride home to hold your stomach. It will help I promise. Drink your water too. Good luck and keep us posted.

To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack

A positive attitude like yours helps!  I was one of the lucky ones too. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll be another success story. Way to go!

Glad to hear it, Lori.  That was my experience as well.  Get your rest and listen to your body.  You'll be home in no time!

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way.  Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Congratulations Lori!  I am glad you have had a good hospital experience so far.  A good hospital/hospital staff experience can make all the difference as you start your recovery.  Good pain control is also key.  Good to hear you are up and walking. Walking helped me a lot with the pain and to just feel better overall.  Just remember, and I am stating the obvious, that you had major surgery.......Take it easy when you get home.
