thanks for all the help!!
See a hematologist about an iron infusion. It is awfully difficult to get your numbers up without them. You may need them regularly.
Get a B12 shot NOW! And most likely weekly or more until your numbers are up. Your level is dangerously low. Like nerve damage low.
Go to vitalady.com and get her dry D3 50. Take one a day until your numbers are up. It is 50,000 iu. Do not waste your time on prescription D. It is D2 and you won't absorb that well enough to make much difference. You may want to email Michelle (she is Vitalady) and get her input. She is a very long time post op and has devoted herself to knowing about post WLS supplementation. She sells the stuff we need and she can also advice you on what other labs you will need and what your lab targets should be.
Good luck to you. No one is going to pile on you. One of the biggest issues after WLS if patient compliance. It is very easy to get complacent and forget that we aren't normal anymore. We feel good, we look good and we don't think we need to worry about it. I've been there, done that.
WLS 10/28/2002 Revision 7/23/2010
High Weight (2002) 240 Revision Weight (2010) 220 Current Weight 115.
Thanks everyone... Being here in Japan I have only met one other person with weight loss surgery... I just emailed my Dr. suggesting the b12 shot and iron infusions.. Lets hope he listens.. Unfortunately he is just a primary care Dr. so I'm hoping that he will help me out somehow... thanks everyone!!
You need to take a multi vitamin twice a day looks like you only take one in the morning. I would take another before bed
