Normal weight gain?
RNY with
It's me again! Lol. I am a little over 5 weeks post op and my weight loss was going great but now I keep gaining! I'm up 3 pound. Is this normal? My eating hasn't really changed other than having to add another ounce of protein at my meals. I'm exercising everyday. Confused. I'm sure I'm just being paranoid! Just make me feel better! Lol
Most likely, it isn't true weight your measuring. A couple of questions to help sort this out
How much are you drinking? Could you have been a little dehydrated over the past few weeks, and now can drink enough to be more hydrated? Proper hydration can look like temporary weight gain (2 glasses of water is a pound)
Do you weigh yourself at the same time every day? I gain about 2 lbs during the course of the day.
You might me going through a little stall, and these factors above make it look like your gaining weight. Just focus on getting the protein in, staying hydrated, and exercise, and the weight will come off.

It's normal for our weight to go up and down sometimes, and it doesn't actually mean our body has gained more fat. Sometimes we retain water and water is heavy - it doesn't take much water to equal a pound. Sometimes we need to poop. If you ever want to see something interesting, weigh yourself before you poop (especially if it's been a while so you have to poop a LOT) and then weigh yourself afterward. One person told me she lost FOUR POUNDS just by taking a good dump.
