Is it iron, calcium, or Vitamin D3 that needs to be taken an hour before or after other vitamins?  Thanks

Calcium and iron need to be taken at least 2 hours apart but it doesn't matter which one you take first.  Vitamin D helps Calcium get absorbed so it's good if you take the two together.

We need a good vitamin D level (at least 80) to absorb calcium well, but we don't need to take them together in order for that to happen.

Iron should be taken at least two hours away from calcium.

It does not have to be taken alone, though.  Maybe people take iron with vitamin C to aid absorption.

Thanks, got my VD3 from Vitalady today.  It's worth taking one 50,000 opposed to 10 of the 5,000.  How long do I need to take that amount for?  Forever?  My D3 was 23.9 how long before it goes up?  I dont have anymore blood work done until March 1, 2012.

Until your vitamin D level gets above 80.  Which won't take forever.  It could take a month or two or could take several months.  I would ask your doc to order a vitamin D level around the end of December to see where you stand.
