100 LB. GIFT
Have any of you wanted and/or received a gift from your family for losing 100 lbs or are you possibly against such things?
I have jokingly bothered my husband since surgery hinting at an expensive piece of jewelery or a trip after all of this hard work. The truth is that I did this for me and need no rewards. My daughter says he's freaking out as I made it to the 90 lb. mark so Elyse asked me what I wanted. She recently had professional pictures taken of her family since Adalynn was born and they were both reasonable and beautiful. I have told her to secretly tell dad that I'd love a family portrait so I could share my success with the family who have loved and supported me throughout this process.
I can hardly wait for him to tell me about "his" idea - lol.
Orientation: June 29th, 2016, Surgery March 22, 2017. Pre-surgery: 16 lbs, (Size 2x, 18/20), M1: 19 lbs. (Size 1x, 16/18), M2: 13 lbs. (Size 16, XL) M3: 10 lbs. (Size 14/16, large). M4: 6 lbs. (Size 14, large/medium). M5: 10 lbs. (Size 14, solid medium - lol), M6: 9 lbs. (Size 12, medium). M7: 8 lbs. (Size 10/12 and small/medium). M8: 7 lbs. (Size 10 and small/medium). M9: 2 lbs. (Size 8/10 - small/medium). Lost 100 lbs by Month 9! M10: 5 lbs. M11: 4 lbs. One year: 6 lbs. Total 111 lbs. lost!
I love jewelry, but I think your idea of a family portrait is perfect. And my husband would be the same, he would need help with his 'ideas' lol

I will admit, I bought myself a Pandora bracelet the other day, and decided i will buy myself a charm for every 10 lbs lost. I am single, no kids, so don't have anyone to "hand that over to" so I decided to splurge. It's a reward, and a reminder. I've never bought myself a reward for weight loss before, and I love it.
I have 4 charms so far, and when I look at it, I remember the 40 lbs. it helps since I can't notice the weight loss on my body. Haha. I have been eyeing some other charms I love. Excited to lose more weight. :)

Actually, my husband bought me a bracelet a few years back and he wants to pick out all the charms that go on it, so it's pretty special that the whole thing will eventually come from him. But, I have to admit some times I go into Pandora and want to pick out a charm, but I wouldn't add it to that bracelet. Now I can have another bracelet and pick out my own charms! The sentiment behind it is so incredible too. I am so pumped with this idea Daphna! Thank you!

I love Pandora too, and wanted one for a long time but could never justify another piece of jewelry and all the charms. So this really I special to me. I totally relate to what you're saying!!

That sounds like a great gift Linda. I didn't get a gift from my DH when I made 100lbs, but I did give myself gifts on my first and second surgiversaries. My second surgiversary I gave myself a ziplining pass.
