Vitctoza for weight loss?

Have any of you tried Victoza for weight loss? I started about a month ago and did lose 12 lbs but have stalled. Debated whether or not to call my Doc to increase dose.

it says that its a treatment for type 2 diabetes, and weight loss may be a side effect.

I started Victoza two weeks ago because the other meds for my diabetes weren't working.  I may have lost a bit of weight but that's because of the side effects.  I'm nauseated and can only eat a small amount of food before I feel sick.  Also had the runs (sorry) for the first week I was on it.  Weight loss is a bonus side effect because as your weight comes down, your sugars start to balance out.  Hoping the side effects ease up soon!

I'm on Victoza as well and my endocrinologist said to expect a 10 pound loss - no more. It is not a weight loss drug but a diabetes drug that MAY help you lose some weight.  Do not increase dosage without consulting your doctor. In my opinion, you have lost the amount you will on this drug.
