I am 2 1/2 yrs. post RNY lap. Last Jan. I had extensive plastic surgery that didn't go well. I had multiple infections over the past yr. resulting from plastic surgery- 2 E-coli's (about died) cellulitis which persisted for months & months in both legs, Staph.... poor plastic surgery results. Spent my savings, am broke, haven't worked my job of 15 yrs. since Oct. 05. Now know I have Lipoedema in both legs with Lymphedema in my left leg from thigh to foot. (since Jan. 04 plastic surgeries) I stay wrapped like a mummy. Been depressed, felt like..."well, no, it didn't work for me!" Had tried to be so positive. Don't have a local doctor to treat me with current ailments. Feel it's all backfired. I've been depressed & once again hungry all the time (!) like pre surgery!!!!! I have gained probably about 10 - 15 lbs. Unable to do any kind of resistence excercise due to lyphedema. Used to road bike. I don't know what to do! Feel myself getting in a real low spot. Had my RNY in another state so no one if following me medically. My primary care physician isn't interested. Any help or advice????? PLEASE!

I'm so sorry to hear of all you've gone thru and continue to deal with. My best advice is get a new PCP. Find one that IS interested. They work for you and should have an interest in your good health! Are you seeing a specialist for the lymphedema? Good luck!

Ann, So sorry you are going through so much. My advice is definitely find a new PCP. There really are good ones out there. Don't settle for the worst. Definitely see a lymphedema specialist as Dame mentioned. And hang in there, I know its easier said than done but dont give up and say... "well its just not working anymore" that just leads to bad eating and giving yourself an excuse to eat like you did before surgery. I have been thinking that myself but you never ever ever can give up! We didnt risk our lives for nothing so lets try our best to continusoulsy strive to go back to the basics whenever we fall of the wagon with our eating habits. Continue to check in as there is nothing better than support! Hang in there sweetie stay strong! God loves you! You can do it! ((hugs)) Elizabeth M

I myself have been overeating but I'm going to start snacking on apples* I am almost 3yrs post-op in June but I had a wonderful plastic surgeon for my tummy* Now, I want my breast done* I think I will use the same surgeon. Write back Anytime because we all need support through out this entire journey* LaShonda
