Things are looking good

Hi. I saw my surgeon yesterday, and he took out my feeding tube. All my lab work looks good, so I don't have to see him again for a month. I asked him if/when I will start dropping weight again. (He had wanted me to maintain my weight to make sure he could remove the feeding tube.) He said it should start coming off again slowly. I'm just about ready for that. I had initially dropped about 60 lbs. after my first stomach surgery the end of April 2004. I gained back about 15 lbs. due to worry when they discovered my stomach was producing abnormal cells again a year ago September. How that I no longer have a stomach, I don't have to worry about stomach cancer ever again. Yay! I feel like I have been released to go and live my life. It's a wonderful feeling. We should live every day to its fullest. I sure am trying to do that. I hope you do too. Peg
