Hello well my name Liz, had RNY back in Jan 09. So far so good satisfied with weightloss has been gradual and minimal but still happy with my appearance. Well to get to the point I have been having issues with cysts, fibroids in my woman parts lol. Its true though. I am 33 and have had a total vaginal hysterectomy. It started with an abnormal pap and redid pap had hyperdisplaysia I believe is what I had at the early stages. So I had  a leep procedure done and my Gyno wanted to see me every 3 months. Well it went from leep to abnormal pap again to having no period to having pcos. Had a 3 cm cyst, started accumulating fibroids started to have adenomesos (not sure spelled correctly) inflammation of the uterus and my uterus was starting to harden up due to no period. Well ended up switching to another Gyno due to his not wanting to do hystercectomy. Well found another to do hysterectomy and got that taken care of. Well I have a new found health issue and am kind of stunned not knowing who to trust or what to do. Don't know of anyone who's been in this situation so would like some input from anyone who has been.  A few weeks ago I got this abcess on my left breast. Never had one especially in that area. Well went to dr put me on antibiotics helped with infection went down and actually healed. It first was the size of a silver dollar and slowly went down to a size of a nickle and is now the size of a dime. My pcp referred me to a breast specialist to have a mamo and ultra sound done just to make sure its an infection in the skin and not in the breast. Well had mamo and ultra sound done and they now found a cyst in my right breast. Radiologist says its a benign cyst and do not need to do anything at this point. I have a follow up with my breast specialist but feel that I may need to do more than just sit back and wait to see if it turns into anything. Now what I'm wondering is should i have it biopsied and go from there or just have her remove it? Im not sure if its I should turn this into a serious situation or if I should just leave it as is?

Liz

Hi,

Please do what you feel you need to do. If you don't feel comfortable sitting back and waiting, then don't. We know our bodies best.

Hope all is well with you.

There are two type of overian cyst one is functional overian cyst  these are harmless and another type is pathlogical overian cyst which occur due to abnormal growth of cells. You shaould take proper medication for it as all the cyst are not cancerous.

If it's a sebaceous cyst they need to remove the whole cyst so it doesn't come back. It's too thick for a needle. Since it's on your breast you may want a plastic surgeon to remove it & leave the best looking scar.

The first thing you need to do is take a deep breath. I know that sounds trivial but really you need to be calm to think clearly. I was diagnosed with Breast cancer at age 39...they didn't even recommend a mamogram until you are 40 at that time. With your other issues you need to get a second and third opinion. Cysts do not mean that you have cancer or that it will turn into cancer. You can have a biopsy done to make sure that it is not cancer. This can be done in the surgeons office. If it gives you peace of mind, do it. Praying for you.
