Blue crowned conure

Hello, Due to downsizing and a small apartment I regretfully must find a home for my 3 year old blue crowned conure, Oliver. If you don't know what this type of bird is he is a predominately green bird with a bluish head and a long tail. With tail, he is about 12 inches long. He comes with an Island, Fiji model cage with playpen top, lots of toys, cage cleaner and food. Altogether it is over $1000.00 of items. I am willing to take a best offer for him. My primary concern is that he gets a good and loving home. You must be able to pick him up from Worcester, MA and his cage weighs about 100 lbs. Oliver is very tame with me, talks a little, but he doesn't like my husband. It's pretty common for birds to pick out one person they don't like. I can hold him on his back and rub his belly. I'm pretty desperate to find him a home where he'll get lots of attention. I also will give you several books about conures. You can e-mail me at [email protected].

I had one of these for 20 years and they really DO pick a person even more than the Macaws etc. I swore I would never have another after my bird died and he was a wild caught bird too ( no telling how old he was when I got him ) I had him before my children........they sure can be loud hunh? I wish I was closer because I probably would come and get him in a minute , I just dont see any blue crowns here in Az. Good luck finding him a home there are so many unwanted birds it can be difficult to find people to buy them, the rescues are filled to capacity and give them away. I am sorry you cannot keep him though , they really are amazing animals.
