Still waiting...

Hi all...so it's been more than 24 months since my referral went to the bariatric surgeon. I was well aware of the wait when I had it first put in but the waiting is killing me. I know it takes a while but I still hate the waiting. For those of you who already had first contact with the surgeon or have had the surgery, were you given the choice as to what surgery to get or did they decide what would be best? Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do or say during the first consult to make things go a bit faster or is that not even a possibility? Sorry for rambling...im just scared/nervous/excited about it all and feel like I have no one to really talk to about it!
