When I talked to my surgeon last week about it he told me the surgery will take 2 to 2 1/2 hours and I'll stay in the hospital one to two days.

This was the same for me, I had LAP RNY and was in the hospital here in England for two days.
The almost wasn't going to let me go home though. I am a diabetic, and the drip they were giving me right after surgery had sugar in it. They wondered why my blood sugar levels were not dropping. Doc finally figured it out, but then decided I could go home with the level a bit high.

I had lap at 8 am Wednesday, and went home at noon on Thursday. However, that was quicker than most patients I was told. They generally had 2 nights in the hospital.
