size of woman's shorts

 how do i measure my self for shorts?  Thanks

Best way, GO try some on...I was in a 10 at that weight but I had/have no butt. No butt pre-op and it's noassatall now!

But measuring to order doesn't work well unless you know how a particular brand fits.

Obviously you need to go try them on, I am 5'5 and weigh around 140-145 and wear a size 4 or 6 depending on the brand and how much stretch there are to them.

If ordering out a catalog measure your waist and hips. Use the size guide depending on that retailer. Shorts/pants fall under the same category. It's best to try them on though.

Also depends on any skin you might have. I have a huge skin apron so I still wear a large size on the bottom.

The only sure way is to try them on.

Second best is to do measurements, check the brand's current size chart, and order online after you make sure you can return/exchange if the fit isn't quite right.

Manufacturers have so many differences, there is NO way to give you a good answer!

I am at 140lbs. 5'7" and wear a 2 or 4....just depends.  Everyone is built and shaped differently.
