XPOST: Ulcer revision

Has anyone ever had a revision due to a non-healing ulcer?  I'm in hospital yet again due to issues from my ulcers.  It's been 2 months since my diagnosis and according to the EGD my ulcers haven't healed.  The pain when I eat or drink is enough to make me cry.  On top of that the past week I haven't been able to keep much of anything down including my Carafate and Protonix.  My surgeon is comingin tomorrow to discuss with me the possiblity of having a revision to remove the ulcer.  Since I have anastomotic ulcers I assume this means remove the bottom portion of the pouch and the top of the small intestine where they are located.

For those of you who've had a revision due to ulcers what was your recovery like?  Did you have a reoccurance of ulcers after the revision?  I worry that if I have the revision I will just end up with another ulcer.  Although I will be on PPI's post-op where as after my RNY I was only kept on PPI's for a month.  I developed the ulcers around 6 weeks out.

I still have a pouch so I'm a hybrid.
