Nerve Damage

Today was my 3 month post op dr and dientician apt. I didnt weight myself for 2 weeks to see how much i would loose before i saw the dr. I am now 186.1 and BMI of 29.1.. !!! i was so excited. I started at when i started the program 310 and 46BMI.  The nurse, dietician and dr were happy for me .
One of the main reasons why i was happy to be going to see the dr was because my legg numbnes. Lately they havent just been numb but sore and  weak. I discussed with the dr and he said oh its your vitamins but they were all fine. I showed him my vitamins i take and he told me my multi vitamin wasnt good enough so i changed that. i was still worried because what if it gets worse. its already pretty bad and im getting worried about it. so he did a nerve test and he said my nerves are damaged but just to change my vitamins and get off the depo shot because it causes lack of estrogen and i already have lack of some minerals and that can cause the damage. he said if it continues that he will send me to some tests. i hope it dont.
On the brighter note. i am 3 months out, Got a new promotion, Got a new boyfriend, and BOUGHT A  SIZE 12 DRESS! yes a dress. i never wear dresses. im so excited. life is great with rny. In it for life and living a new life.

I'm sorry to hear about your nerve issues, I hope that the vitamins do fix the problem.  But, on a happier note, congratulations on doing so well with the program!  That is inspirational and I'm glad that everything else is going so well for you!

Wow that's alot of weight to lose in 3 months, I wonder about what your body has had  to  adjust to.  I have never heard of anyone losing that much that fast.  No one at the clinic thought that could be an issue? I would wonder about depo shot, so good you are off. Your body has had so much to adjust to.

Wonderful about wearing size 12, a new promotion and boyfriend, 3 Huge  wows!
Just follow what the doctor says to do.

Hope all is well

Are you taking a B100 Complex?  If not I would discuss it with your doctor.

I agree about taking a b complex vitamin

However, there may be other causes, so don't just see the post surgical team, see a specialist from your family doctor.   Ie, get your family doctor a copy of the nerve test,  then have your family doctor  refer you to a leg specialist/neurologist.

Vitamin advice strikes me as really weak.  There may be something else going on.
