Where is everyone?????

Just wanted to know where all the Manitobins are. We seem to be a very quiet board. I need to talk and comment so lets all talk.    Anyone going for surgery? Anyone have surgry lately?

It's good that you are asking this... a few years I tried to reach people in Manitoba, I did talk to at least 3 women who were going for surgery.  Also I met some people at a church who had surgery years ago and who were trying to keep a support group going.  Not sure why there isn't activity. 

I always check out Ontario's forum, they have lots of activity and give lots of support (but of course no face to face contact).  If you find enough people for a support group I would be interested in joining and also sharing my experiences.  If you want to talk, I would be willing to chat (email me at [email protected] and I will give you my telephone #)

I'm here! Working on getting a group together. I'm scheduled for my consult June 21st. Super excited and nervous. I don't have any real support from family and friends so getting a group together will be crucial for me. Good to hear from you.

I am glad you guys are int rested in charting. I go to the New Brunswick forum to chat. Those girls on that forum are awesome. I know there has to be more Manitobins out there. Well girls it is up to us. Lets through subjects on the board and keep gabbin.

I'm here on and off - I found that coming here a hundred times a day was making the time DRAG big time!  LOL  So, I cut back my hours here. 


jolie-petite - where are you going for your consult?  Your date will be here before you know it!

I am going to victoria to see Dr.Rusnack on June 21st. They are also scheduling me in to see different specialists while I'm there. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am. Right now I am doing a workbook that deals with preparing for WLS. It's so helpful! I really hope they can squeeze me in sooner than a year. I am getting so prepared! I hope to wow the doctor when I go so he will say I'm ready sooner than later.

      I think if I'm not able to set up a group elsewhere, I will just have everyone over once a month to chat. I need that and I think so would others.

This is great. We need to be talking to each other and encouraging each other I hope we can keep up the chatting. Ask questions, look for advice, give info and maybe just vent here and there.
