CAN ANYONE TELL ME

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE COST OF THE SURGERY AND ALL THE TRIMMINGS WOULD BE IF YOU DON'T HAVE INSURANCE? I CAN NOT WORK DUE TO THE SEVERELY MORBID OBESITY SO THERE IS NO INSURANCE. I AM LIVING ON WHAT IS LEFT OF MY SAVINGS AND THATS ALMOST GONE AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WILL DO. WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFO I CAN GET. THANKS, CATHY [email protected]

Cathy, Maybe you are eligible for Medicaid? It might be worth checking into. I know I got my bill from my surgery, which HMO blue paid, it was $47,000. However, I do know that self pay people pay less than that. They give a discounted price to those who pay cash. Hope this helps. Dawn

Cathy, My recent surgery was $25,000 and change. I had to pay $825.00 fee to the MGH Weight Center for classes post op and what the insurance didn't cover. That included a five day hospital stay as well as the surgeons fee. Hope that helps. Good luck, if it is your time to have the surgery than all will work out for you. Julie
