It's been 1 month since i've had my life changing experience done. So here's the update....I'm still working on getting in as much protein as possible.  My new stomach loves fish so I pretty much eat that everyday.  A couple of days ago I experienced my first "Dumping Syndrome Day!" Something I don't ever want to go thru again.  I know how it happened and I know why, so i'm doing everything possible to avoid it happening again.

To date i've lost a total of 30lbs...something I wouldn't have been able to do without my new tool.  I've been walking to exercise, but need to up my game. I'm still taking all my med's that the doc wants me to take, but sometimes I feel like that's all pouch is filled with...med's and water! Lately, i've found myself getting nausea around food smells...things I would normally love to smell I can't...is that normal?

My sis is doing great as well...she eats alot more different things then I can.  I'm just super glad I have her to share my days with.

I have my good days and I have my bad ones, but no matter what I feel like...I LOVE this NEW ME!!!

Congrats.Jona..................you are still so new and each day is a wonder....wonder what will happen.........................do you still crush you meds?  I put mine in my shakes, with allot of s/f syrup and ice you can drink them.....................remember your pouch is still healing and is tender...one month out is still so new.....what stage of food are you on.....soft?  what made you dump?  I am curious, my first dump what six weeks after surgery we went to disney and I order the childrens turkey, well, it didn't like me................at all.....I really didn't "dump: I thru up but when we finished our trip by way of Texas, I did dump on a banana, it was too well ripened and I put it in my shake and for three hours, I was sick,,,,thought I'd die.......we learn as we go along what we can and can't have....and we have a very good memory when we find out what that one thing is that we can't.....................lol...lol..................good luck with your journey and your sis too.........
Aloha.

You're doing great sister!!! I know it can be hard at times but we made this decision to be healthier and sometimes even I need to be reminded. I'm glad that I have you too! I really don't know how someone could get through this without a support system. Keep up the good work and remember to keep your eye on the prize and run the race as if you've already won!!! Love ya, T

Gurl I understand what you mean when you say you feel like meds are all your pouch is filled with!!!  lol  I feel the same way!  In addition to all the regular meds Dr. C has you take, I'm also taking all the one's he recommends for hair loss too.  Imagine that, my pill box if full!!  It's ok though, I knew it would be like this.

Congrats on your weight loss and excercising.  Keep up the awesome job!

I love fish too and practically lived off poke for the first 3-4 months!!
