The french vanilla is just way too sweet. Why the heck did they do that? I hate things that are too sweet and to me they did that to these bars. The only one not overly sweet is the triple chocolate. Those are tolerable...the others I just can't eat and they are pricy. Lost my money on those.
(indicates that they have used the product)This bar is tasty, light, easy to eat, and makes you feel like you are cheating...eating a candy bar. It is 14 grams of protein, 4 grams of sugar and has 8 grams of fat. As a source of protein - for a snack, I like to have one of these a day. That is why I bought 5 boxes of these online!
(indicates that they have used the product)I found the vanilla Power Crunch bar sickenly sweet and it felt mealy and horrible in my mouth. This is just not something that I would ever want to try again. I tried to interest my 10 year in them as a breakfast bar. He loves anything vanilla. He hated the Vanilla Power Crunch. So, I am getting rid of the rest of the box (my husband refuses to try them). The only bar that I have found so far that I will eat is Strive Peanut Butter and Chocolate. 1 is too much for me, but since there are 20 grams of protein in the bar (and no added sugar), just eating 2/3's of it helps to get those protein gram numbers up. Remember, some people love these Vanilla Power Crunch bars, so it's just a matter of taste buds.
(indicates that they have used the product)Though I like the combination of p-nut butter and fudge (or at least did before surgery), I find these bars sickenly sweet and the texture mealy. I prefer the P-nut butter & Chocolate Strive bar. Though it has a few more calories (40) and 1 gram more of fat, it has 7 more grams of protein and taste a lot better aand has better mouth feel. This has just got to be an individual thing, because a lot of people really like these. I am giving the rest of the box away.
(indicates that they have used the product)These are the best tasting protein bars I've tried! They taste as good as a candy bar but have only 4g. sugar per bar and 14 g. protein. However, they are NOT lo-cal so I limit myself to 1/2 a bar for an occasional snack, or 1 bar if used as an "on the go" meal replacement.
