Kate Lee Salerno Registered Nurse RN, BSN Nurse Navigator

Kate Lee Salerno, RN, BSN, CBN is the Nurse Navigator and Bariatric Coordinator for the Center for Medical & Surgical Weight Loss and Center for Digestive Diseases at Middlesex Health.

Kate has been a Registered Nurse at Middlesex since 1988. In 2016 she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Chamberlain College of Nursing.  During her time at Middlesex she worked in the Operating room as the Bariatric and Robotic Service Leader until 2020 when she transitioned to the Nurse Navigator for the Bariatrics program. In 2022, Kate earned her certification as a Certified Bariatric Nurse.  Kate now works collaboratively with physicians, administration, and our allied health team to ensure seamless care for our patients.

Kate is also a certified Reiki master, and when requested, she provides Reiki for patients just before surgery. Her time as a nurse has helped her build an understanding of what patients experience during their weight loss journey and better enables her to guide and assist them during the process.
