Understanding about the emotional aspects of being obese. Maybe thinks diet and exercise is better choice. But she understood my need for this change in my life. The more bariatric patients she sees the better she will get at counseling them.
UPDATE!! I was denied because she would not make a recommendation either way that I should have surgery. You would think that being obese herself and having several co-morbidities she would have a better understanding of a persons need for this type of surgery. Her diet and exersize do not seem to be working for her so why does she think they will work for me. I am disappointed in her letter to the insurance company.
