Steven Walfish Psychologist Ph.D.

Dr. Wahlfish made inaccurate assumptions based on a few pieces of information, lacked professionalism and was unable to demonstrate a genuine care for my emotional well being. In the written evaluation of our meeting Dr. Wahlfish wrote bits of comments taken from the interview which in the letter were taken out of context. Additionally, in the evaluation he included personal financial information that had no relevance on bariatric surgery.

I was totally at ease and comfortable talking with Dr. Walfish.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH DR WALFISH HE WAS VERY POLITE HE WAS VERY INTERESTED IN HELPING ME AND MAKING SURE I WAS MAKING THE RIGHT DECISION IN HAVING WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY AND I WAS VERY GLAD WHEN HE MADE AN APPT FOR ME ON SAT SO I COULD GET MY SURGERY SCHEDULED I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE AND HAVE CALLED HIM SINCE MY SURGERY

First I must start by saying it is a PLUS that Mr. Walfish offers Saturday hours and as I candidate for WLS this means much when you already have soooo many appts to take up your workday schedules. I was greeted at the door with a pleasant hello along with the introduction of who he was..so first impression was a good one. Office was very clean, warm and cozy! I would definitely consider returning for any added care...

Dr. Walfish was very professional yet warm and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to call him for therapy if necessary, and would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Walfish is a hoot....he knows his stuff, but is not a stuffy know-it-all-kind of guy....made this a pleasant, albeit, required step much more tolerable.

Very thorough evaluation of the psychological issues involved in weight gain/loss/maintanence. Dr. Walfish was pleasant and it was easy to make a personal connection with him. I found it easy to open up and discuss my personal perspectives because of his specialization in doing WLS referrals.
