This was the first time I have gone to visit a psychiatrist...with the exception of my being evaluated for SS/disability.....I went into the appointment being very nervous not knowing what to expect...Scott instantly made me feel comfortable.....I normally become a 'chatterer' when I get nervous....he had the ability to 'ground' me....making me feel as though he was an old friend....listening to all of my questions/decisions.....making me feel like every second of this appointment was of the utmost importance to him....trying to do everything possible to prepare me for the outcome that I am looking forward to...guiding me in the right direction.....helping me make a plan to follow in order to achieve the goals that I have set for myself.........I was cleared for surgery.......I enjoyed the visit so much that I may continue to see him once I have gone through with my operation....who would've thought that "I" would actually WANT to go back to a psychiatrist!!
