Robert Poole Psychologist Ph.D

I feel encouraged about the weight loss surgery and also resolving other issues that we discussed.

Dr. Poole was very straight forward with me which was fine. He seemed to ask questions that were related to being obese. Dr. Poole made me feel at ease.

Dr. Poole is not the warmest person, he's pretty straight forward and direct.

Hated the 500 question test. Didn't have much choice. I have my own psych, back home, but this is the one Dr. Patterson perfers. Which is okay. I just don't have to see him again. Also, he does not give any kind of discount for self pay. He is really expensive.

The best advice I've gotten about my fears approaching surgery and my life afterwards was from a friend who has gone thru it--this guy was scarey!

I found Dr. Poole to be very caring and supportavie.

I was able to get in quickly and take my test, two weeks later we reviewed and he approved me for surgery. He was more than willing to send his recommendation with what ever doctor I choose. He offered services for later when all the weight is gone.

This provider was required by my surgeon. He was not covered under my insurance. I had to self pay. I liked that he sent me a copy of the eval. He was right on target on some points of interest.

I thought that Dr. Poole displayed appropriate professionalism, warmth, and concern for those contemplating wls. He clearly explained his purpose in the process. He shared the scores of the eating behavior inventory and MMPI in a way that was easy to understand. He made clear suggestions for the remainder of my pre-op time and offered to help in the future should I require it.

Dr. Poole seems to really know his feild but as far as people skills he may be lacking. He made be feel somewhat inferior and uneasy and in some ways I feel the visit is greatly over priced. He knows ALOT about Obesity and the psycholigical impacts of Weight Loss surgery. But, as far as making me feel at ease, I was disappointed.
