Robert Katz Psychologist Ph.D.

I had no idea who to go to for the psychological clearance but I contacted the APA for a list of names and then contacted my insurance carrier to see who might be in my plan. I feel very fortunate to have gotten a referal for Dr. Katz and that there was a connection immediately. Even though his practice is primarily with troubled families he was willing to meet with me and work through the process. He took this very seriously and I must admit that I have learned a lot from the process. He made it clear that I should not consider his approval as just a matter of course; he would make his decision only after being sure that I knew what changes the surgery would make in my life. I intend to continue seeing Dr. Katz after my surgery to be sure I have the assistance I believe will be needed to go through this major change in my life. Dr. Katz is a wonderful listener and has a healthy sense of humor that put me at ease almost immediately.
