Dr. Azrin was professional, informative, and is obviously very bright. My insurance covered everything but $20. It is really comforting to be taken care of by someone focusing on one thing and doing it well, and then providing the information needed for subsequent treatment. He made a simple testing procedure into a caring opportunity to help me learn about myself. He even gave me the name of a therapist he trusts and works with all the time that could help me if I needed it in the future. I couldn't have been more comfortable with the entire evaluation.
I wasn't sure what to expect from a psychologist, and I was really nervous about going. He made me feel comfortable and he was very helpful with ideas about how to cope with surgery and all the changes. I really was surprised that a psychological evaluation could actually be useful.
Dr. Azrin was very helpful and informative. He really seemed to care about me succeeding in my journey. The staff were pleasant, helped out with my insurance, and I had a good experience overall. I especially liked how he helped give me some ideas to learn a better lifestyle. He is very thorough. I would recommend him to anyone considering this surgery.
I WAS SO UPSET WITH THIS MAN, I ALMOST SCREAMED HE WAS NOT VERY POLITE AND HE WENT STRICTLY BY THE TEST INSTEAD OF TRYING TO KNOW ME AND WHO I WAS AND LISTEN TO WHAT I WAS SAYING HE WAS AWFUL. BUT THAT FOLLOW UP WITH DR. MELVIN, WENT EXCEPTIONALLY WELL. HE IS VERY POLITE, KNOWS HOW TO SMILE AND ESTABLISH RAPPORT WITH HIS PATIENT. IF I NEED ANY HELP HE WILL BE WHO I CALL.
I didn't need further treatment but my best friend did and Dr Azrin told her he could not treat her. I think if we have to pay so much money for this service he should be able to treat what he finds wrong instead of sending people to another doctor costing even more money. Dr Azrin charged my insurance $825.00 and I was told I would have to pay $300.00 out of pocket.
