P. Douglas Callan Psychologist Ph.D.

I have spoken with Dr Callan on the phone about the process. He knew exactly what steps to take, even knew that my insurance company had different billing codes for the process than others. Set up the initial visit for 6 days out, will do the 'test' atfer about 45 min, then I am due back in 5 days for results and the referral. He completely understood that when you have made a decision like this you just want to get it done, so he is committed to doing it quickly.

I spoke with Dr Callan in persona today and he lived up to my expectation. He spoke to me like an informed individual and took the roleof support in the process instead of a gatekeeper. He explained that the screening was there for my protection, but beyond that he treated me as if we were partners in the decision. He viewed the MMP1 as a tool to use for healthy patients to understand the challanges they would face AFTER surgery.

Very knowageable about WLS and patients need to be fimilar with all choices availabe.
