Joseph Dragun Psychologist Ph.D.

I read Monica G's comments and my experience was just about the same with other Psychologist's. By the way my birthday is Feb 1st Dr. Joe. From the list that I received from Hurley Medical Center, Dr Joe was one of four within reasonable distance. I called all four and Dr. Joe was the only one that called me back immediately and sounded like he was my long lost friend. I LIKED THAT! I didn't care for the cold professionalism of the others. At my appointment my instinct's were right on, as he WAS like my long lost friend. I was very comfortable with him immediately and continued to be so througout the session. I woud Highly recomend Dr. Joe Dragun to anyone wanting to feel at ease AND GET THE PROFESSIONALISM AS WELL. Good luck to all and Dr. Joe Dragun.

Dr. Joe has been EXTREMELY helpful in my quest for WLS. First of all, by making my initial appt within 5 days of my first call to him! UNHEARD of in my experience with new doctors...especially a Psychologist office. The office I called that Hurley recommended wouldn't even schedule an appt for me until my insurance was check'd out--THEN didn't call me back for over a week to schedule an appt for 4 wks away!! (How are you supposed to get Psych clearance to begin all the steps to get insurance approval with a delay like that!?)

Dr. Joe was also kind enough to explain to me how an evaluation for this surgery works and in administering the test that was required by Hurley Comprehensive Wt Loss Centers.

My appt with him was very relaxed and he gave me some suggestions to help be more successful after the surgery.

THEN - surprise of all surprises...after only seeing him once, and speaking to him on the phone 3 times. He sent me a birthday card! My birthday was this week -- about 2 wks after my initial appt and I rec'd the card ON my birthday! I was FLOORED! I didn't even rec'v a birthday card from my brother until the next day! If that isn't kindness and consideration at it's finest -- I don't know what is!

Do NOT hesitate to call Dr. Joe. If you reach his voice mail instead of him...since he doesn't have a receptionist, don't hesitate to leave a msg and he WILL call you back!
