I really enjoyed my appointment with Dr. Jennifer Rothfleisch; she seemed very genuine. I felt her concern for my weight issue and the hampering of my every day activities caused by my obesity was sincere. Her overall handling of my evaluation was professional and nonjudgmental which put me at eased immediately. The only concern I had was after the evaluation. Dr. Rothfleisch seemed unsure of what the insurance (BCBS) wanted in way of a report. She said BCBS was vague in their explanation of her submittal. But she assured me that she would call them and tell them that she felt that I was a very good candidate for the surgery. A few days later I called BCBS and asked if they received my evaluation; they said they had not. I asked if they had a record showing she called; they said they had none. I called the doctor's office and spoke with Laurie who in turned called Dr. R to tell her of my concern. Dr. R called me right away and said she sent in the form they sent her. I asked about her office sending Dr. Rodriguez (surgeon) a copy but she said that she could write up a report and send it to Dr. Rodriguez but that she would need to charge for the written report. I didn't know what to say. It was written and I was told to pick it up. I find out that the report she wrote for me is the one that she submitted to BCBS. I felt that I should not have been charged for the written report.
