Donald Bermont Psychologist Ph.D.
Dr. Bermont has a very relaxed nature about him. He is a very good listener, and quite empathetic. He focuses on getting to the root of psychological issues, and is an intuitive evaluator of emotional and mental health.
At the time of this review, he has had many obese patients who are WLS candidates. He is extremely supportive of the problems obese people deal with, and has a very positive impression of bariatric's surgery's life-changing characteristics.
One word of caution, if you're looking for "advice" or a "problem-solver" then Dr. Bermont is not for you. This is actually why I like him so much. He is simply provides insight to "Why things are" so that you have the tools you need to overcome, address, and understand your emotional and mental state.
I was 260 while I visited him and I was very comfortable in his office; however, his office layout/furniture may be uncomfortable for people who are 400+ pounds. Though quite comfortable, he has the average quality of office furniture.
The best item of note is his proximity to the Leahey Building, which houses the Weight Management Center in Lowell, MA. It's a small one-block walk, and you can park in his building parking lot for free. If you're familiar with Lowell's parking issue, you will know that this is priceless!
