I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. McCown on 8-27-04 and he was made me feel right at ease from the beginning. I had never been to a psychologist before but he made me realize that they are there to "listen" and after talking with him for a while I now have a different outlook on psychologist. I recommend him to anyone who's in need of a psych evaluation or if you just need someone to talk too.
Dr. Mccown was a sweetheart. Even though we played phone tag for a while, he always promptly returned my messages, he gave excellent driving directions and he was an absolute gentleman.
Overall, intelligent, very nice. He was referred to me by my surgeon. The only down side was that he took awhile to sum up my evaluation. After my final visit, he told me it would be typed up and sent over that day. Needless to say, I had to make several phone calls and it was at least 2 weeks before it was finally done and sent to my doctor.
