Dr. Schaaf was very kind and warm while still maintaining a level of professionalism. I found her to be very objective and direct. She gave what I believe to be an honest evaluation. She had the results of my testing and interview in less than a week and called to tell me that she recommended me for the surgery with the stipulation that I attend regular counseling and support group meetings, both of which I intend to do. I'm considering seeing her on a regular basis after surgery. I'd also like to add that her office staff was extremely helpful in getting the information regarding insurance for my visits and as an added bonus she has a beautiful, friendly cocker spaniel to greet patients in the waiting room.

Kristen Schaaf seemed to be very understanding, I felt very comfortable speaking with her about the issues I deal with daily from being obese. She recommends a very good book for patients seeking bariactric surgery.

Dr. Schaaf was very professional, a good listener and very supportive of WLS. She seemed to understand the need for help though she was very thin herself and probably did not have any idea what it is like to be obese.
