Alan Lindsay Psychologist PhD
Dr Lindsay's staff, charge alot more than the other Dr's in the area seem to. My own experince was very poor. They flat out lied to me and tried to drag out all the appts they could get my INS company to pay for. When I confronted them as to why if I was a excellent canadiate for the surgery why we needed to continue meeting and asked how long, they became hostile and suggested I find a different surgeon that the one I was planning to use.
He told me to seek therapy for 3 months I called to come in for a reevaluation(why didn't they tell me to get a referral else where then money?
$600.00 wasted and no referall and he did not even tell me what I needed to do to have a referral just seek therapy when I came back met with an associate that new nothing of me and they didn't have my file and had to ask dr. lindsey what to do, dr. lindsey did not even show his face to me probley due to the jump in my office visit from $65 my share, to $200.00 after I confirmed my cost when his secretary lauren confirmed my appointment, I reminded her and she said I told him what you were quoted and he said just charge her $200.00 what is that all about, I asked she said your insurance is always giving us trouble.
Dr. Lindsay is part of the overall program Dr. Rehnke is developing for his bariatric patients. While he does not require you see Dr. Lindsay, things go smoother if you do, since Dr. Lindsay knows exactly what Dr. Rehnke requires in a psyc eval for his patients. In addition, while I rarely ever choose to see a male psycologist, I was very impressed with his grasp of the female psyche with regards to WLS. He has heard it all and definately understands. He is not in the least judgemental or condescending, like most male medicos are to their female patients (Dr. Rehnke is an exception to that, too! ). He is very well informed, compassionate, and caring. It doesn't hurt that he's pretty nice to look at as well. ;-)
