Mary Mihelich Psychologist Ph. D.
Dr. Mihelich actually saved my life...literally. She was very thorough in her examination, first giving me a MMPI test. After grading this evaluation, she discussed the results and told me that she could not clear me for the surgery because I had severe depression. I had visited Dr. Mihelich before for depression and I skimmed over the problems I had because I didn't want anyone to know how bad I felt. Luckily, she saw through this after the MMPI and told me I needed to see a psychiatrist for medication and follow up with her to work out the problems I was having. She diagnosed me with sleep deprivation, severe depression and post traumatic stress syndrome. It was a couple of months of working almost weekly with Dr. Mihelich and being on the medications before she felt comfortable with writing the letter to my surgeon for the surgery. I know, without a doubt, that I probably would not have made it through the surgery psychologically (or maybe otherwise) with the mind set I had when I first saw Dr. Mihelich for evaluation for surgery. I am so thankful to her for the caring gentle way and the concern she showed for me. I know most people and their physician would have been upset that they didn't get their letter right away and be upset for the delay, but that is why we are sent to see a psychologist, and Dr. Mihelich is one that stands on her ethics to treat the patient, not just run them through her office and give them what they want. I thank God each and every day for her and the help that she has given me....She saved my life
