I am a psychologist with over 20 years experience, including clinical, teaching and research experience.  I have worked with a diversity of adult clients with anxiety, depression, trauma and eating issues in addition to couples work.  For the past 7 years I have performed over 500 psychological evaluations for bariatric patients in the Baltimore-DC area.  My style is interpersonal, and most patients say I am very easy to talk to and that they felt accepted and comfortable within the first 5-10 minutes of the evaluation.  I am on-site at GBMC at their Comprehensive Obesity & Weight Management area of the hospital in Towson on Thursdays to accommodate their bariatric patients.  I also provide these evaluations in my Towson office 5 minutes from the hospital and at my private practice in Silver Spring.  I have worked on numerous research projects over the past 25 years at The Univeristy of Maryland, Baltimore, University of Maryland, College Park, Towson Unviersty, Georgetown University and Johns Hopkins University.  Most insurances are accepted at the Towson location; in Silver Spring, I accept Medicare, United/United Behavioral, Value Options, and Optum Choice/MAMSI/MDIPA insurances.
