Although this appointment was to see if I had realistic expectations of what the surgery can and can't do for me, I found that Dr. Benson was very helpful in other areas. He said that since I've had a couple bouts of depression, to not be surprised if I have a post-op depression; don't panic, see a counsellor and it can be worked through with that and perhaps upping my zoloft. After Christmas, I'll call my GP (she's receiving a copy of his report) and ask to see what Dr. Benson wrote, then either call him or ask my GP who to see on the west side of town and where to start with the therapy.
