About MeDanielle Miro, Ph.D., ABPP-Rp is board certified in Rehabilitation Psychology and licensed in the state of Texas as a Psychologist. She has held leadership roles at the national level with professional organizations such as the Society for Behavioral Medicine, and remains actively involved in the American Psychological Association Division 22, Rehabilitation Psychology, as well as the Society for Health Psychology. She has participated in grant-funded research studying weight loss and weight management, smoking cessation, health promotion, and physical activity. Dr. Miro completed her Ph.D. at the University of Memphis in Counseling Psychology. Her post-doctoral residency training was done at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Neurorehabilitation Psychology, where she also completed her predoctoral internship. She is currently practicing at Behavioral Medicine Associates helping bariatric patients with pre-surgical psychological evaluations, pre-op and post-op support groups, and individual treatment for weight re-gain after bariatric surgery.
