Revival Soy Protein Drink by Revival - Protein Drink
I really can't stand protein drinks where you can 'smell' the protein and these fit the bill. My faves are strawberry banana, banana, peach, probably because these are flavors that aren't generally found elsewhere. The banana shake actually tastes more like real banana than 'banana flavored' items like Popsicles. The strawberry tastes like those Kit taffy suckers from the old days. The chocolate is better than some chocolate but due to the expense I choose other brands for my chocolate fix. Vanilla tastes like cake batter to me, pretty good if you want to eat cake batter. I continue to buy them even though they are expensive. I haven't had surgery yet but I wonder how well they would do post-op since they are to mixed with 12-16 ounces of water so that could be too much volume at that time. Sometimes I do find myself actually craving them so that is a first as far as protein drinks are concerned.
(indicates that they have used the product)I haven't had the lapband surgery yet, but I got a hold of this stuff in the summer during my "desperate" times. You see, I am peri-menopausing, so my energy sucks. The very first one I had, I felt full and my body felt satisfied. I didn't feel weighted down and my sugar level doesn't fluctuate on the sharp curve (Not diabetic, but I can tell when it is going through kiniptions).
I dread eating sometimes, but Revival Soy is easy, tastes wonderful (not chalky) even a good drink when mixed with water only and I read that they have been used for bariactric patients, so, I will have some on hand after my surgery as well.
