Chocolate Classic Protein Powder by Unjury Protein Supplements - Protein Powder
Am almost 5 years post-surgery and discovered Unjury only recently. I was using protein with much too much carb. WOW the difference. I like the vanilla, the chocolates, and the chicken soup best. Just found a protein powder drink book by the Bariatric Foodie. It contains recipes for apple pie, cinnamon buns, cheesecake s and other yummy-yummy drinkable. I'll need more Unjury soon!
as a post-op and a Bariatric Coordinator, I am always in search of different products to try/review for myself as well as my patients. I absolutely LOVE the chicken soup! It's great by itself, or jazzed up with vegetables. The unflavored is also vital for versatility. I get a great deal of complaints about patients being "over" the sweetness with the chocolate and the vanilla. The unflavored is a great way to add variety to almost ANY drink. The dieticians are also a WONDERFUL resource. Jenny at Unjury has been a vital resource for me and has been able to not only send us samples, but set us up with wholesale pricing. AWESOME product!!
(indicates that they have used the product)The price plus shipping equates to about $1.68 a serving which is pretty reasonable to me. It always arrives quickly too. I drink Unjury every day. I put 1/2 scoop of Chocolate Splendor and 1/2 scoop of Vanilla with 8 oz fat free milk in my personal blender, and drink it every morning. It seems to coat my stomach so my morning meds go down easier. Having Unjury around the house ensures I get the right protein, and the right amount every day. Early out I mixed the unflavored with broth, and drank shakes which really helped me get my daily totals in. Lately I've been thinking of making the protein pudding recipe on their web site. If I had to clear out my kitchen today, Unjury would be the last to go because it meets all the food requirements an RNY person needs. ( I keep Vits and Suppliments in my den. Oh and speaking of Suppliments, I love their Opurity calcium citrate chewables. Nothing from China it them, they're tasty, and can be eaten on the run.I recenlty ran out, and tried a few other brands. They either were expensive, required me to take them with a fluid,or tasted like chalk or caca. Anyway, I quickly reorded 4 bottles, and put one in reserve so I don't run out again. I really like Unjury! The only downfall is I wish it were less clumping when heated past 130 degrees.

I LOVE using the unflavored and vanilla in smoothies. This was one of the first protein supplements I could tolerate. I did water it down a lot in the beginning but it really helped me heal fast! (The first two weeks preop). I know some people don't like the taste, but I love adding the vanilla flavor to smoothies or puddings, same with the unflavored.
