Dr. Fabio is the most wonderful plastic surgeon. He is not just a surgeon but a caring person and an artist. He is kind, cares about his patients as a person and how they feel inside. I lost 421 pounds and had a lot of excess skin and was in need of total reconstruction. He took it on and the results are incredible. It has been three years and the scaring is minimal and he made me feel like a "normal" person again. Just because you go back to the U.S.A. after surgery don't think he forget's you - because he doesn't. He will email you and ask you to send pictures because he wants to be sure you are doing well. I love Dr. Fabio and if I need more plastic surgery, I will be on the plane to Brasil!!!

I found Dr Fabio to be a delightful person and, more importantly, a wonderful surgeon. I traveled alone to Brazil in 2005 for "extreme" reconstructive/plastic surgery after a 140 pound, post-bariatric surgery (DS) weight loss. In two surgeries two weeks apart I had the "works"--hernia repair, lower body lift, tummy tuck, thigh lift, breast implants, underarms, resectioning, facelift, brow lift, forehead lift and a good amount of lipo. My body pretty much looked like a roadmap immediately after. But now, a little less than 2 1/2 years out, the scars are very faint (I am very fair-skinned). The care is first rate, with a nurse who visits your hotel room every day to change dressings and another nurse who administers lymphatic massage (mandatory and very relaxing!).
A great experience. Don't worry about the language barrier. Most of the folks you deal with will know at least some English. And to be honest, it's fun trying to understand each other! btw...Dr Fabio will also provide you with a letter detailing the various items that you can claim on your income tax.
Great surgeon, great price, great experience all around. Highly recommended.
