Karli Burridge Physician Assistant (PA) PA-C, MMS, FOMA

Karli Burridge is a nationally recognized expert in obesity medicine, and she is passionate about educating other providers on how to incorporate obesity management into their every-day practices and helping those affected by obesity. She is comprehensively trained in medical obesity treatment, as well as in bariatric surgery, and has a background in psychology and exercise physiology. Karli holds the Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Management and is a Fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association. She is a co-author of the Obesity Algorithm®, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Illinois Obesity Society.

She has served as the Chair for the PA/NP Committee for the Obesity Medicine Association and is currently the President of the PA Special Interest Group in Obesity Medicine. She has worked on numerous projects with a variety of medical organizations and has helped PA programs such as the Yale PA program develop educational modules on obesity. She has received multiple awards for her work in expanding the field of obesity medicine and in furthering obesity education for health care providers.

Karli is the founder and owner of Gaining Health, which is a company she developed to support health care providers who want to incorporate obesity medicine into practice, as well as providing education and support for people who are impacted by obesity.
