Dr. Khan gave me much of his time explaining how my options before my surgery for either Lap Band or Gastric By Pass. I decided on Gastric ByPass. It cannot be reversed however

I now no longer have diabetes, my blood pressure is lower plus I have lost 87 pounds and expect to lose another 18 in the next 3 Months.

I feel so much better. I now have much more energy.

The Surgery was the best decision I could have made.

I would have loved to provide an excellent review for Dr.Khan, I am very happy with my surgery. However over the last 6 months he split his practice with Dr. Williams and the service is completely terrible. The office never returns calls and the office manager is rude and unprofessional. Dr. Khan has lost my referral.

Dr.Khan has a great bed side manner, he listens to what you are saying and your concerns. He was really great,and his staff are wonderful!I would and have recommended my him to my friends!

My initial impression of Dr. Khan was good. I did some research on him to see what experience he had and felt good about what I learned. His office is nice and the staff is very nice and helpful.

From the time I first saw him and my actual surgery, it was 9 months, so he didn't remember me, but that would be expected. He explained all of the details of the surgery and reassured me that what I was doing was to benefit my overall health and extend my life. His bedside manner in the hospital was good, and he came in on both Saturday & Sunday to check on me.

There is a structured after care visit program, but so far there hasn't been alot of support group activity that I've been told about.

My first impression was that he was straight to the point and definitely no sugar coating anything with him. It was actually a great thing because I knew he would be honest and I could trust him. My impression didn't change but my respect for him continued to grow. The staff is AWESOME! Every single person is GREAT! I would rate Dr. Khan, his staff, and the whole process a 10!

After meeting Dr. Nunn, I knew that I made the right choice and that my decision on the type of surgery was the right decision for me.

My surgeon is Dr. Andre Nunn. He is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. He and his staff are awesome! They are very friendly, caring, competent. I would recommend him and the staff at the Barix clinics in Ypsilanti, Michigan to anyone considering surgery. They made me feel very comfortable during my Lap-Band surgery and almost two years later when I realized that It had not been the right choice for me, They did everything they possibly could to help me with the conversion process. Dr. Nunn and his staff never made me feel like a failure and I appreciate that very much. I am having conversion surgery from lap-band to lap-RNY on Feb 2nd 2010 and I chose Dr. Nunn as my surgeon for the second surgery as well.

I immediately felt comfortable when I had my consult with him. I still feel that way. The office staff is ok. They are friendly and they have gone through a weight loss procedure so they understand the process that you are going through. The post op dates were scheduled in advanced so there was no worry about when or how often I had to make another appointment. The blood work was scheduled too. It was all in writing. He was specific with the risks and what could go wrong. I was very aware of the risks but I knew the risks out weighed the benefits of the procedure. I felt that to go on the way I was was putting myself more at risk than having the surgery. I feel he is excellent at his chosen profession and I have recommended him to friends who have considered weight loss surgery. His surgical competence and bedside manner are both excellent. I am a nurse and I had researched the surgery and spoken with other people that had had the surgery. I honestly have nothing negative to say about Dr. Nunn. I would say the same to anyone who asks me about him. My personal experience was great but as we all know all people do not experience surgeries the same or see a physician in the same way. Each experience is unique. I try to keep that in mind in my work and daily life. Thank you.
