I was a little nervous when I went to see Dr. Baum, as I've never seen a psychologist. Dr. Baum quickly put me at ease and after a few visits with him, I am well on my way to getting a surgery date scheduled. He made this whole long experience at least a little more pleasant. :)
Dr Baum is not judgemental. A very kind, soft spoken man that does not push you into talking about anything you aren't ready for. Also very supportive of the obese and the problems we suffer from. Very friendly. Office staff Barbara is super friendly and helpful too.
Am thoroughly impressed with Dr. Baum and his staff. I've recommended him to 3 friends and all have the same high opinon of him.
Most of my answers are N/A because he spent very little time with me. And from the very little time spent together he insisted I seek counseling with a psychiatrist. Pretty much the who psych thing was a joke and a waste of my time and money. But I did have my surgery... went great. Almost down to my goal weight. Feel great and doing great all the way around. :-)
Dr. Baum is very personable and knowledgable. He made sure I understood the procedure and what to expect after surgery.

I would reccomend Dr. Baum to anyone who needs any type of counseling but especially to those looking for weight loss counseling.
