He seems to be a great doctor very thorough. He is concerned about my aftercare and thus convinced me to find a local surgeon rather than go to San Diego to have a RNY. He is right about this. He is very encouraging, and helpful. Actually , two days after my second appontment, we were watching ER and after it was the local news. there was going to be a segment on WLS, so we stayed tuned and watched it.. Suddenly a doctor came on and was talking about how to pick a good surgeon and the importance of aftercare in WLS> It was DR BIEMER!!! My husband and I had JUST SEEN HIM and now he was on television.
He seems to be a very great and dedicated Dr and is very nice and concerned. He is very obesity friendly for the most part except I wish there were more armless chairs in his waiting room.
Also, he is very cute... he looks like Greg Kinnear.

He has geared his practice to those who have weight issues. I highly recommend him.
